Glow Xylophone

I am 0 for 2 on my glow in the dark pin experiments.

We filled our 4 glasses with different amounts of water, placed our glow sticks inside and began playing music  watching for some kind of faint color to rise from the the cup aaaaaannnddddd, nothing.

You can see in the pic below my little helper off to the left tapping the yellow cup. Yeah, we didn't have anything too exciting happening here...

This is what we were anticipating...

  2. I know, right?! I haven't found very many cool glow in the dark pins that actually work! It makes me feel bad when I promise my 2 yr old a fun activity at night!

    1. That's interesting. Thanks for that link! Looks like it could be kind of entertaining for my husband and I. Not so much for my 2 yr old :(

  4. Hi guys

we did the same thing. But we could pick up the colours on the camera.

Maybe there's a knack to it, like the old making crystal wine glasses hum by running your finger around the rim of the glass - I can't do that either :)

    1. I tried a few different settings with our camera but couldn't get it to work. I'm sort of camera illiterate though. ha!
